As a dedicated Texas lawyer, Mason Herring strongly believes that business should be seen as personal. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economic, Finance and Real Estate, Mason Herring decided to pursue his legal education at South Texas College of Law, where he earned his J.D. During his time at Texas A&M University, he was recognized for multiple awards and was even honored for his journalism and editorial work for The Battalion, the college newspaper. Furthermore, he was elected as one of the only two class representatives to serve on the Judicial Court of Texas A&M's student government.
At South Texas College of Law, he was a Dean's Scholar and frequently honored for his work in pre-trial advocacy. He served as a summer associate within the insurance defense litigation sections of numerous law firms in Houston. During his third year of law school, Mason had the privilege of working at the oldest litigation firm in Texas, allowing him to learn from some of the best.
Once he graduated, he began working for the United States Federal Court for the Western District of Louisiana – Shreveport Division. After some time in the United States District Court, Mason decided to found his own private practice, Herring Law Firm. As a member of the Houston Bar Association - Oil, Gas & Mineral Law Section and the Texas State Bar - Oil, Gas & Energy Resource Law Section, Attorney Herring is uniquely equipped to handle oil and gas disputes. He has also been chosen for many honors and awards during his practice. He was named to the South Texas College of Law Young Alumni Leadership Circle, was a Dean's Scholar at South Texas College of Law, and was included in the 2014 and 2015 Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ lists
